Description

This project partner is a community of female micro-entrepreneurs empowered to manage sustainable waste-to-cash systems. Each of them is equipped with the resources and training to run plastic waste collection stations and be champions for sustainability in their communities. This market based mechanism encourages behavior change at the grass roots to not treat plastic as trash but as a resource to feed back into a circular economy. This specific project diverts PET from unsanitary landfills to recycling facilities.
